I just got the news of Penny's passing from a mutual friend.
Penny and I were manufacturing supervisors at Digital Equipment Corporation. Our production areas were side by side in the early 1980s. She was a coworker and a very close friend.
Penny was always made up & dressed up like a model. Her Southern charm; accent, bright personality, charisma, intelligence, inner and outer beauty, strength and quick wit always made my day. As coworkers, we worked well together. She was the closest and loyalist friend that I had at Digital during those years. We looked out for each other whenever there were negative office politics going on. Time and time again she had my back and I had hers. We trusted each other completely in a work environment that wasn't always trustworthy.
Although there was a big difference in our age (She was 42 and I was 29) I thought of her as the ultimate Southern Belle.as she was highly attractive, very intelligent, incredibly witty and very strong.
Farewell my good friend. I'm sad that we lost touch when you moved to North Carolina. You were a unique and wonderful woman that enriched the lives of others with your boundless energy, dignity, empathy, compassion, strength and undying loyalty. I know that you are missed by many and that there is a new bright star in the Heavens.

I am so sorry for your loss of such a wonderful person. Penny and I worked together in Springfield MA at Digital Equipment Corp. She was an elegant, compassionate and fair minded leader. She gained the utmost respect from all who worked with her. Blessed Be! Blessed Be! Blessed Be!

I am so sorry for your lost. Penny was one of those cousins that I looked forward to seeing at the family gathering because she was sure to say something funny to keep you laughing. Your mother will truly be missed, but just know that God had other plans for her. Be strong as a family and know that you are in my prayers.
