Willie Haywood Sr.

     Mr. Willie Douglas Haywood Sr., son of the late C.B. Arnette and Pearlie Lee McCollum, was born December 29, 1934 in Robeson County, N.C. He departed this life on September 24, 2019 at Southeastern Regional Hospital in Lumberton, N.C.

     He joined Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and, friend to all. He was joined in holy matrimony to the late Rosa Lee Haywood.

     He leaves to cherish his loving memories to his four daughters, Nancy Mae Smith and, Mary Ann Worley both of Fairmont, NC; Mae Lois Robinson of Fayetteville, NC; and Kathryn Cribb of St. Pauls, NC; one son, Douglas Haywood of Fairmont, NC; two sisters, Mary Newton (William) and Katie Brockington (Clinton) both of Red Springs, NC; four brothers, George McCollum (Mary), Bernnie McCollum (Martha), Eddie McCollum (Gloria) and Foster McCollum all of Red Springs, NC; fifteen grandchildren, the first grand was raised by him, Stephain Haywood of Fairmont, NC; twenty great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
