Rev. Annie Ruth (Jones) Thompson

     Rev. Annie Ruth Jones Thompson was born in Fairbluff, NC on October 23, 1946 to the late Thomas Jones Sr. and Daisy Bouldin Jones. She was called from labor to reward on Monday, June 12, 2023 at Conway Medical Center in South Carolina.

     Annie accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She was a member of Jones Chapel Missionary Church in Lumberton, NC. Where she served faithfully.

     Annie worked as an in home therapeutic foster parent to many until her health began to decline. She was a very humble and a people person who loved everyone. She loved feeding people whether she knew them or not and she always had something to say about Jesus.

    Annie is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Jones Sr. and Daisy Bouldin Jones, four brothers, two sisters, and one grandchild.

    Annie will forever be cherished and remembered by her daughters, Gloria Ann Thompson and Erica Thompson (Marcus) both of Conway, SC; Shelia Killens (Jerome) of Lumberton, NC; and Joann Thompson of Fairmont, NC; nine grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, siblings, Donald Southern, Thomas Jones Jr. (Ruby) of Lumberton, NC, Maryland Jones, Bertha Hill and Ray Charles Jones all of Fairmont, NC, nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.

    Annie held a very special place in her heart for her grand boys, Carenthius Thompson, and Marcus Jacobs Jr. She will be missed by many.
