Ms. Vicky McNeill, the daughter of the late Walter McNeil Jr. and Lillian Gray McEachern McNeill, was born March 21, 1954 in Robeson County. On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, our Heavenly Father, Jehovah God, decided that our beloved mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friends work was completed. Jesus on High and it was time for her to come home. All her tears, pain, and suffering was over. She was given white wings of a dove to fly home and a host of angels to guide her there.
In her youth she attended school in Lumberton, NC. She graduated from Orrum High School. She also received an associates degree in nursing from RCC. She retired. after 26 years from Saint Eugene Hospital, now named McLeod Dillon in Dillon, SC. She was a licensed practical nurse. A diligent and devoted worker, she cared for sick children. She worked many long hours, ofte giving up her days off to go work and make sure they had the care they needed.
She was a social butterfly who loved conversing and getting to know people. She was a great cook. She prepared delicious meals, and loved to feed people. She was devoted scholar of the bible and loved God. She enjoyed playing video games. She also enjoyed crafts such as sewing, cross-stitching and crocheting.
Vicky was preceded in death by one sister, DeVallery McNeill, two brothers, Moses R. McNeill and Timothy E. McNeill, two uncles, William McNeill and J.C. McNeill.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, a daughter, Laticia R. McNeill of the home, two sisters, Nora G. McNeill of the home and Debra D. McNeill of Washington, DC, two brothers, Nathan McNeill of the home and Walter McNeil III (Mary) of Lumberton, NC, one aunt, Dorothy Mae (Linwood) of Lumberton, NC, three grandchildren, Nicholas R. Hutchinson, Desiree’ E. Fletcher and Destinee N. Fletcher, two nieces, Courtney N. Hendrix and Shaunta Baker, two nephews, Antonio McMillian and Wendell McMillian and a host of cousins and friends.
