Ms. Taji Dajon Hayes, daughter of the late Telisha M. Davis and Thomas E. Hayes Jr. was born on July 6, 1993 in Lumberton, NC and departed her earthly ties on earth June 2, 2025 at UNC Health Southeastern.
Taji was raised in the home of Susan Page, her stepmother, from the age of five years old. She was educated in the Public Schools of Robeson County. Taji was loved by so many. She didn’t meet a stranger. Taji loved being outside. Her hobbies included sitting around family and eating, cooking, conversate, and laugh until her health begin to fail her. She attended Heaven Bound Church occasionally. Take your rest Taji you fought a good fight. There is peace in the valley.
Preceding her in death is her mother Telisha Davis, maternal grandparents, Shirley F. Davis, Letha L. Sinclair, and Arthur L. Davis, paternal grandmother, Ada L. Hayes.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her two children Julius Ramsey and Zion Gray both of the home, her father, Thomas E. Hayes Jr. of Lumberton, NC; stepmother, Susan Page (David) of Fayetteville, NC; five sisters, Kristina M. Williams (Heath) of Pembroke, NC; Natalya French of Lumberton, NC; Tyesha Smith of Wilson, NC; Kayla Young and Kanesha Hayes both of Atlanta, GA; four brothers, Timothy E. Hayes of Hope Mills, NC; Thomas Sherell Hayes, Kaleb Hayes and Kayden Hayes all of Lumberton, NC; paternal grandfather, Thomas E. Hayes Sr. of Lumberton, NC; seven aunts, Lakisha “Nickie” Davis of Fayetteville, NC; April Hayes of Tarheel, NC; Ellen “Cat” Davis, Sherry McClain (Joe), Jewel Hayes (Daytona), Wanda Carlyle, and Brenda Carlyle, all of Lumberton, NC; three uncles, Richard A. Hayes (Chantilly), Tommy “Bodine” Davis, and Authur “Fella” Davis all of Lumberton, NC; and a host of other relatives, and friends that are too numerous to name.
