Shirley Ann Hill beheld the Glory of our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ. Shirley, the daughter of the late Willis E. Hill, Sr.
and Helen Hill was born February 10, 1963 in Lumberton,
North Carolina and passed away on July, 03, 2024..She is
preceded in death by three siblings; Sara Lynn Hill. Willie Ray
Hill, Willis E. Hill Jr, and her oldest daughter Tataneisha J. Hill
Shirley was educated in the Public Schools of Robeson
County and graduated with honors. She was a lover of
learning and earned multiple college degrees in various
areas including Office Systems Technology, Medical Billing
& Coding, and Occupational Science in Medical Assistant
Management. She begun her career working as a
Paraprofessional in various locations all over Robeson
County after earning a certificate in Medical Assistance. In 1995 she begun driving school buses for the Public
Schools of Robeson County and did so for 27 years only
stopping due to falling ill.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her dear mother Sarah
(Helen) Hill; her loving children; her daughter Nikita Crudup of
Lumberton,NC; her son Dequan Cogdell Sr (Jessica) of
Lumberton,NC; her brother Edward Richardson (Monica) of
Durham,NC; her sister Angela Hill Stephens (Jeffrey) of
Lumberton,NC; her six adoring grandchildren Zyreke Crudup, Amari
Page, Jakari Page, Willis Campbell Jr, Dequan Cogdell Jr, and
De'Niyah Cogdell; her nephews Anthony Hill, Brent Love; Her nieces
Ebony Hill, Kendra Hamilton, Kendra McDonald, Elizabeth Stephens,
Anna Davis; her close-knit cousins Hazel Sterling and Sonja Burnette
and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was a light in the lives of all that had the opportunity to know
her, and her infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering
kindness will surely be missed by us all.
