Ms. Penny Louise Finkley daughter of the late Mrs. Connie Elenda Ghee Finkley and her father, Mr. Laron C. Finkley was born November 21, 1979 at Southeastern General Hospital in Lumberton, NC. Her brother, Mr. Charles D. Ghee preceded her in death. Penny departed this life on Wednesday May 15, 2024 at home in Fairmont, NC.
She attended Fairmont High School. She graduated in 1998. After she graduated she attended ECU in Greenville, NC. She majored in Bio Chemistry and her minor was Psychology. She was diagnosed with MS her fifth year of college. She was a Zeta Phi Beta, ladies of the blue and white. She loved her sorority sisters. She loved to dance and she loved to sing. She joined church at an early age.
To forever cherish her memories are her father, Mr. Laron C. Finkley of the home, two brothers, Dr. William Ghee of Bowie, Maryland and Mr. Alvin P. Ghee of the home, one God sister, Ms. Avary Carmichael of Charlotte, NC, five aunts, Mrs. Vivian Yates Crosby of Wilmington, NC, Mrs. Delzora Manning, Mrs. Deborah Davis, Mrs. Joyce Shaw and Mrs. Pricilla Taylor all of Rocky Mount, NC, six uncles, Mr. Larry Davis, Mr. Joe Shaw, Mr. Charles Finkley, Mr. Eugene Taylor, Mr. Darrell Finkley, all of Rocky Mount, NC and Mr. Anthony Finkley of Warrenton, NC, one nephew, Alshayquan L. Ghee of Fayetteville, NC, special friends, Evangelist Pattie Baker, Ms. Tameka Pittman, and Mr. Stafford Singleton and a special cousin, Mr. Sam McNair and a host of other relatives and friends.
