Ms. Natasha J. Burnette

     It's with sadness and deep sorrow we officially announce the passing of Ms. Natasha J. Burnette 39, of Lumberton. She transitioned from time to eternal rest on October 2, 2025. 

     Ms. Natasha Jeaneen Burnette was born April 22, 1986 in Lumberton, NC. She transitioned into her heavenly home on October 2, 2025.

     Natasha graduated from Fairmont High School in Fairmont, NC. She also attended multiple colleges where she was an honorary student. During her life she held several jobs: her very first job was at the Waffle House, Roses, Dobbs and Walgreen. Her main job however was a Nail Tech. which she loved to do. Natasha was a full-time Nail Tech. at Platinum Oasis Day Spa. In her spare time, she would read books.

     Natasha attended First Orrum Missionary Baptist where she was a member at a young age. She sung in the children’s choir and served as a youth missionary.

     Natasha was preceded in death by her step father, William H. Lewis, paternal grandmother, Carrie Mae Shaw, aunt, Mary Gainey, uncle, Thomas Shaw, god-parents, Gloria Jean and Nathaniel Govan, god-brother, Eric Govan and god-sister, Pamela Campbell.

     Natasha leaves to cherish her precious memories to her parents, Debbie Lewis of Lumberton, NC; and Tommy Lee Shaw of Dunn, NC; sisters, Monica Govan of Orrum, Sonia (Tim) Melvin of Salisbury, NC; and Nakina (Tykia) Govan of Fayetteville, NC; brothers, Tommy Lee Shaw Jr., of Dunn, NC; Tony (Kelly) Burnett, Larry    Burnett, and Gary Burnett all of Lumberton, NC; David (Lakuanda) Burnett and Anthony Govan both of Orrum, NC; and Reggie Govan of Charlotte, NC; maternal grandmother, Modestine Fulmore of      Orrum, NC; paternal grandfather, George Robinson of Dunn, NC; aunts, Nichole (Martin) Gainey, and Joan Ruth Thompson both of Orrum, NC; Joan Ellis and Beverly Campbell both of Lumberton, NC; and Peggy Leonard of Fairmont, NC; uncles, Tony Lee Shaw of Dunn, NC; Herbert Burnett of Fayetteville, NC; Kenneth Burnett of Raleigh, NC; and Ernest Burnett of Georgia; great-aunts, Helen Shaw, Corrina Shaw of Dunn, NC; Gene Shaw of Winston Salem, NC; Pearl (Russell) Thompson of Kernersville, and Gurley Gaines of Fayetteville, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
