Ms. Millie Stackhouse Watkins Smiley

     Ms. Millie Stackhouse Watkins Smiley was born March 16, 1943 to the late Brisco Stackhouse Sr. and the late Clara Mae Floyd Stackhouse. She passed  away June 4, 2018 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC.

      Ms. Millie attended Robeson County Schools and attended Fayetteville State University. She retired from the Cumberland County School System after thirty years as a school teacher.

     She was preceded in death by her daughter, Melissa Watkins, her sister,   Jeanette Okunyade, and three brothers, Dennis Stackhouse, Adolphus Stackhouse and Eugene Stackhouse.

     She is survived by: one daughter, Myra Cherenfant of Jeffersonville, IN; one son, Robert (LaLecha) Watkins Jr. of Cary, NC, four grandchildren, Cha’Veya (Christian) Ross of Raleigh, NC; Ramik Watkins of Fayetteville, NC; James Watkins of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Justin Watkins of Cary, NC, two great grandsons, Xavier Ross and King Watkins, two sisters, Eunice (Emery) Thompson and Phyllis C. (Thomas) McCallum, four brothers, Brisco (Joyce) Stackhouse, Dwight (Ludine) Stackhouse, Bodiford (Yvette) Stackhouse and Daniel Keith Stackhouse, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
