Mayola Cain was born October 17, 1949 to Harvey and Margaret Jones Leonard in Lumberton, NC. She entered eternal rest on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at home, after her extended illness. Mayola Cain graduated from Southside Ash Pole High School 1967. Mayola was employed by New York Bell, later named Verizon for 32 years and then provided healthcare services for 5 years. Mayola loved decorating, cooking, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her beloved baby sister Joyce Leonard.

Family members left to cherish her memory are Sean and Sheena Purcell of the home. Randolph Cain (Tammy) Hazlet, NJ; Ronald Cain (Masae) Seattle, WA; Natasha Cain Cobsy (Caleb) Thomson, GA; thirteen grandchildren and one great grand; four brothers: James Alfred Leonard (Angenetta) and Charles Leonard (Peggy) both of Fairmont, NC; Clarence Leonard (Bridgette) of Newark, NJ and Prenice Leonard (Barbara) of Willingborn, NJ; her aunts and uncles: Algie Jones and Martine Spencer-Granberg (Jim), both of Fairmont, NC, Owena Hill (Billy) of Lumberton, NC and Sarah Jeffers of St. Petersburg, FL., an a host of devoted relatives and friends.
