Ms. Lillie Billings

      Ms. Lillie Mae Billings daughter of the late Walter and Lizzie McCall was born on November 2, 1928 in Clio, SC.

     She relocated to Fairmont, NC after she met and married the late Roosevelt Billings and to this union nine children were born, five preceded her in death, Donald Jean, Linda, Edward Lee, Roosevelt Jr. and Mary, three brothers, Nathaniel, Elijah and Walter and one sister Martha.

     Ms. Billings joined Star of Bethlehem Church. She was a very dedicated member, and always ready to do what was needed. She served on the ushers ministry, the missionary department, and wherever she was needed. She worked as a nutritionist, in a group home where she received a certificate of acknowledgement and an honorary Citizenship Certificate from Father Flanagans Boys Home in Chester, PA. She was a faithful member until her health failed. She departed this life on Monday March 19, 2018 at Southeastern Health in Lumberton, NC.

     She leaves to cherish her precious memories, two sons, John McCall (Cora) of Fairmont, Johnny Billings (Linda) of Philadelphia; two daughters, Willie Mae Townsend of the home in Fairmont, NC; Effie Lou Billings of Lake View, SC; five sisters, Lula Mae Wooten  of New York; Gertrude Upshur (Leon) of Baltimore MD; Loraine Adams and Mary Warren of Chester, PA and Roxina Woods (Bobby) of Rock Hill, SC, twenty Grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren.
