Ms. Kathrida Page

There is a time to be born. Kathrida Page (Kay) was born February 4, 1945 to the late James
“Pete” Page and Ernestine Page in Lumberton NC.

There is a time to be reborn. Kay attended Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church where at an
early age she also accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Saviour. She was a loyal
member and faithfully served on the Usher Board for many years.

There is a time for living. Kay was blessed to live 79 years. She worked throughout her life
as a agricultural worker and a residential housekeeper all around the Fairmont NC community.
Kay loved to walk until she could no longer do so due to health issues. She loved singing and
her most favorite song was “Thank You Lord”. Kay had a passion for cooking, and was well-
known for her wonderful handmade biscuits. She had the kindest heart and never met a
stranger because of her love and respect for people.

There is a time to plant. After completing her education in the Rosenwald School System,
Kay pursued lifelong learning on her own.

There is a time to die. Kay went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2024.

There is a time to mourn. Kay leaves her five daughters to treasure her memories:
Antoinette (Eric Sr.) Grant of Fayetteville, NC, Sally M. Page of Red Springs, NC, Renee
(Charles) McCrae of Fayetteville, NC, Jeanette Page of Lumberton, NC; and Cathy Veale of
Jersey City, NJ. Kay also leaves her two sons to treasure her memories: James A. Page (Camille) of Bowie,
Maryland and William D. (Danky) Page of Fairmont, North Carolina. Ernest Page, Peggy S. McNair, Vivian Page, Sam McNair, and Amelia A. Mitchell are Kay
five surviving siblings, Three siblings, Geraldine P. Butler, George E. Page, and Sally M. Page, preceded Kay in death.
Kay has a large extended family that includes her brothers and sisters, cousins, nieces,
nephews, great-grandchildren, grandchildren, and close friends.
