Ms. Katherine Braddy

       Ms. Katherine Braddy was born September 1, 1927 to the late Melvin Lincoln Burnette and late Josephine McDowell Burnette. Ms Katherine Braddy, 91, of Fairmont transitioned from time to eternal peace on March 18, 2019.

      She joined The Church of Christ at a very early age, where she developed a strong belief and love of God. She graduated from high school in Fairmont, NC. She was a foster parent of many children for many years. She enjoyed spoiling her grand babies and fishing.

     She was preceded in death by her husband, Acey Braddy, three sons, Joe Scott, James Scott and Thomas Scott, four sisters and seven brothers.

      She leaves to  cherish her memories two daughters, Martha McRae and Mary          Burnette of Fairmont; one son, `Larry W. Scott, extended family of eight children from her husband, two special adopted daughters, Pauline Mansin and Inell Bullard, two sisters, Bernice Lampompe and Daisy Richardson of Lumberton, NC, twenty grandchildren, sixty one great grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
