Ms. Ernestine (Stackhouse) Green

     Ms. Ernestine Green, 89, of New York Passed away May 1, 2020. 

     Ms. Ernestine Green was born on February 26, 1931 to the late Simp and Jessie Stackhouse. She was married  to the late David Green for 45 years.

     Ernestine Green attended Rosenwald Elementary High School. She resided in New York for most of her adult life. She worked at PS321 as a school teacher aid for 10 years. She also worked at Brooklyn Development Disability Center for 25 years.  

     She leaves to cherish her memories, three daughters, Patricia (William) Whitfield of Lumberton, NC; Ella (Andrew) Thompson of Archdale, NC and Adrianna (Johnnie) Alexander of Brooklyn, NY; three sons, Gregory (Lisa) Green of New Jersey, Ronald Green of New York and Dennis Green of Brooklyn, NY; one stepson,  Daniel (Sharene) Green of Florida; two stepdaughters, Avis Green Shaw of VA; and Retha Green Jones of PA, 24 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, three sisters, Annie Annie Durant of Fairmont, NC, Evelyn Joyce of VA and Shirley Crawford of New York; two brothers, Simp Jr. (Elizabeth) Stackhouse of VA Jimmy (Betty) Stackhouse of Lumberton, NC and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, one daughter in law, Janice Stephens and other relatives and friends.
