Ms. Dorothy Grace (Worley) Taylor

     Dorothy Grace Worley-Taylor 93 departed this life on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at UNC Southeastern Hospital in Lumberton, NC. She was born on April 20, 1929, in Fairmont, North Carolina to Mae Moody Worley and Ike Pittman who proceeded her in death.

     She was also proceeded in death by two sisters: Flora Abram and Mable McCallum; and two brothers: Forrest Worley Sr. and Joe Worley. She was also proceeded in death by her husband Guy Taylor Jr.

    Dorothy, affectionally called “Dot” and also “Aunt Dot”, was educated in the Public Schools of Robeson County. She worked in Homemaker Service Management for many years before retiring. Dorothy never met a stranger. She had a love for cooking and baking. She was a pillar in her community. She enjoyed laughter and humor. Dorothy enjoyed spending fun time with her family and friends. Most importantly, she enjoyed life and really loved her family!

    She leaves to cherish memories her daughter: Barbara Ann Taylor of the home; two grandsons: Michael Taylor of Fairmont, NC and Marcus Tayor of New Haven, Ct.; three sisters-in-laws: Barbara Sue Taylor, Janice Graham and Margie Taylor all of Fairmont, NC; three nieces: Carol Abram and Annie Mae Alford both of Fairmont NC and Alice (Joiners) Cadestin of Lumberton, NC; one nephew: Bill (Maeola) Abram of Fairmont, NC; three great grandchildren Mykia Taylor of Greensboro, NC, Charquez Williams and Deontra Winningham of Philadelphia, PA; one special friend: Shorty Grice of Fairmont, NC; a host of nieces and nephews, other relative and friends.
