Ms. Dianne (Monlyn) O'Neil-Pino

March 24, 1946 ~ July 24, 2025 (age 79) 79 Years Old

Ms. Dianne O'Neil-Pino Tribute

     Dianne Monlyn was born March 24, 1946 to the late Henry Monlyn and the late Lucille Hawkins-Monlyn. She departed this earthly life on July 24, 2025 to go to her eternal home.

     Dianne attended James Haywood High School. Her class was the last segregated class. Dianne loved taking care of her nieces, nephews and family before moving to Brooklyn, New York. Dianne married Kenneth O’Neil and they had four children, Arnetar, Marilyn ”Vicky”, Kenneth O’Neil Jr., and Ricky. She moved from Lumberton, North Carolina in 1968.

     Dianne went to Business School in 1981 where she excelled in typing and shorthand. Dianne met her late husband, Ollie Pino. They had a son in 1983 named Lionel Pino. Dianna loved going to school. She returned to college in 1988 to become a teacher. Dianne enjoyed going to school with her daughter Vicky. She was very happy that her daughter chose to follow her passion for teaching.

     Dianne worked at C.S. 146 until she retired in 2014. After 25 years of teaching, she wanted to return to her hometown of Lumberton, North Carolina.

     She was preceded in death by her husbands, Kenneth O’Neil, and   Ollie Pino, two children, Kenneth O’Neil Jr., and Ricky, a grandchild,   Tyrone, great-grandchild, Tamia, one brother, Louis and a sister, Shirley.

     She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her three children,    Lionel, Marilyn (Vicky) and Arnetar, five grandchildren, Travon Sr., Tyekiem, Leona and Landyn, seven great-grandchildren, Travon jr., Alia Victoria, Ashley Kay, Aniyah Kay, Arriana Kay, King, Kalani Inaya, brother, Bobby Joe and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, Terrance and Teresa Powell, Jerome Sr., and Mary Hawkins, and       Micheal Hawkins who she adored very much.
