Mrs. Debra Kay Powell Rowdy 67, of Lumberton, North Carolina was born June 18, 1954 to the late Thomas and Betty Rose Powell Williams. She departed her life on Wednesday December 22, 2021 in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Mrs. Rowdy received her education in the Public Schools of Robeson County.
Mrs. Debra Kay Rowdy loved to cook, so she spent many years working at restaurants such as Western Sizzlin, Piggly Wiggly and Ryans. Mrs. Rowdy highlight of her life was raising her grandchildren. She loved to dress them all like gypsies. She loved entertaining her family friends with her famous dance “The Camel Walk.”
Mrs. Rowdy is preceded in death by both her parents and her husband Dock Rowdy.
Mrs. Rowdy leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Robert Smith of Fort Lauderdale FL; and Joborah Andrews of Lumberton, NC; six grandchildren, Carisma, MaCree, Robert Jr., Arnicious, Zyriah, and Chance, two great-grands, Logan and Brycen, four brothers Barry Powell, Terrance Powell (Teresa), Andre Powell, and Gcoble Williams (Estralia) all of Lumberton, NC; five sisters, Vickie Rose Powell, Tronto Peterson (Donald) of Lumberton, NC; Annette McPhaul of Red Springs, NC; Lisa Powell and Sheila Williams Revels (Grover) of Lumberton, NC; one aunt, Loistine DeFreece (James) of Lumberton, NC; her Rowdy-in-laws, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
