Ms. Catherine Thompson

     Catherine “Cat’ Thompson was born to the late JP and Lucille Thompson on May 22, 1960 in Lumberton, NC. Cat transitioned to rest on Saturday, August 3rd 2024 at Lower Cape Fear Life Center.

     Cat was loved by everyone she encountered and would challenge anybody to a good game of cards. She graduated from Lumberton Senior High in 1979. She worked as a housekeeper for many years. Cat was a fighter and she fought till the end. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Her sister whom she loved dearly treated her like a big baby. Cat would hang out with her best friend “Penny Williams”on the regular. We called them, “Thelma & Louise” when you saw one the other wasn’t too far behind.

     She was preceded in death by her only son Don A. Thompson, two brothers, James “Cateye” Thompson and Russell Thompson.

     Cat leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Yvette Leach of Dublin, NC and Jowanda Cooper (Rodney) of High Point, NC, two grand daughters, JaComa Leach of Dublin, NC  and Genesis Revell of High Point, NC, four grandsons, Sincere Thompson of Meridian Idaho, Quamane Cooper of High Point, NC and DeMaurian & Maurio Johnson of Dublin, NC, one great-grandson, Anthony Thompson of Meridian, Idaho. One loving sister, Patricia T. Davis-Love (Larry) of Lumberton, NC and five brothers, James W. Thompson (Vernell) of Charlotte, NC, Allen R. Thompson (Anna Mae) of Lumberton, NC, Lavender M. Thompson (Kris) of Lumberton, NC, Alford J. Thompson of Lumberton, NC and Jerry Thompson of Tabor City, NC and also a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
