Carolyn Jean McKenith Cooper, 65, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2019 due to diabetes and congestive heart failure in Elizabethtown, NC. She was born on April 6, 1954 in Lumberton, NC. She married her love and best friend, Willie Mack Cooper, Sr. in September of 1989; he left his bride to be with the Lord on March of 1993.
Carolyn went to School in the Public Schools Of Robeson County, NC and graduated high school. She worked a number of jobs until she was unable to work anymore due to illness . She was a member of McCormick Chapel AME Church and when she was able, she contributed to the church with her time and care. She loved people and once you’d met her you would never forget her fiery personality, her quick wit, and her infectious laugh.
Though Carolyn had many trials in her life, she loved hard and fought even harder and at last she has overcome them all and is resting in the love of her saviour.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her mother, Shirley McKenith, a son, Corey L. McKenith and a step son, Hennon J. Cooper.
Carolyn is survived by a daughter, Leuquilar A. Cooper Garner CPhT (Andre’) of Richmond, VA two stepchildren, Daisy M. Cooper Boykins and Willie M. Cooper Jr., both of Lumberton, NC ,a grandson, Keorie McMillan of Greensboro, NC and a number of brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
