Ms. Brenda Dean Breeden

      Brenda Dean Breeden (McCormick) daughter of the late William H. Breeden and Ella Mae Hammonds Breeden Gerald was born August 29, 1957 in Lumberton, NC. Brenda transitioned to her eternal rest on Wednesday March 29, 2023 in Durham NC.

     Brenda attended the Public Schools of Robeson County. She graduated from Lumberton Senior High School. Brenda worked as a production worker until her health declined.

     Brenda was a loving mother and grandmother. What she enjoyed the most was being with her daughters and grandchildren. Brenda also enjoyed shopping with her sister and sister-in-laws. She loved playing candy crush and other various games on her phone.

     Brenda accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior. She was an active member of Visionary Christian Life Center where she loved her overseer and church family. When she wasn’t able to attend church she would still get her praise on watching the service on Facebook live.

     Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, William H. Breeden and Ella Mae Hammonds Breeden Gerald, husband, Booker McCormick, daughter, Breona Tre, and best friend, Betty Doris Morrison.

     Left with precious memories of our beloved Brenda are her three daughters, Angela of Fayetteville, NC; Shatash Breeden (Darrell) Dawkins of Lake View, SC; and Justice Breeden of Lumberton, NC; One son, Zion Baker of Texas, four brothers, William (Betty) Breeden, Levi (Beverly) Breeden of Lumberton, NC; Antonio (Kisha) Breeden of Fairmont, NC; and Christopher (Eugenia) Breeden of Hope Mills, NC; four sisters, Gloria Breeden Graves of Charlotte, NC; Carolyn Breeden and Joceyn Diane Breeden both of Lumberton, NC; Monica Breeden of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren, Randazia, Nikeya, Aureona, Breona, Kwashek, Quayles, Kwazire, Jayden, and Jala, great-grandchildren, Major, True, Jaevah and Emryn, goddaughter, Charlette (Banabus) Imbufe, three special friends, she loved like sisters, Evangelist Phyllis Haywood, Loretta Thompson, and Shirelle Walters, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
