Ms. Betty Mae Ray

It's with sadness and deep sorrow we officially announce the transition of Ms. Betty Mae Ray 75 of Fairmont. She transitioned from time to eternal peace on March 7, 2026. 

    Ms. Betty Mae Ray was born to the late Charlie Reed and Lavenia Reed on March 8,1950. She departed this life on March 7, 2026.

     Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Raye Jr., daughter, Nechelle Renee Raye,

her parents, a brother, Charles Reed, sisters, Annie Crawford and Carolyn Reed.

     She leaves to cherish her loving memories, her daughter, Wanda L. Turner, grandchildren, Lasasha Raye,  Raheem Turner, and Preston Turner (PJ), four sisters, Brenda Rogers, MD (Lee), Patricia Love (Shorty) of Lumberton, NC; Linda Reed of Proctorville, NC; and Lois Reliford (Bill) of NJ; one brother, Herald Reed of Proctorville, NC; one uncle, Lorenzo Wilson (Lisa) of

Lumberton, NC; two sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
