Ms. Bernice Jones

     Ms. Bernice Jones, 69, of Fairmont, NC was born on July 24, 1951 to the late Elijah and Barbara Raye Jones. She departed this earthly life on February 8, 2021 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton.

     Bernice was united in marriage to George E. McArthur and to this union three children were born. Bernice grew up in Robeson County and was employed at INC of Lumberton, NC for over four years.

     She loved going to church, praising the Lord, spending time outdoors with family and friends and took lots of joy and pleasure with her grands and great grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her husband, George Everette McArthur and a son, George Edward Jones.

      She is survived by two sons, Donald Ray Jones (Shirlene Wright) of Fairmont, NC and Charles (Yvonne) Jones of Fairmont, NC one daughter-in-law, Shameka Bennett Jones of Fairmont, NC, one sister, Mary (Bowman)   McArthur of Fairmont, NC, two brothers, Elijah (Maudie) Jones of Fairmont, NC and Ralph (Pattie) Jones of Port Chester, NY, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one uncle, Bank Hayes of Fairmont, NC, four aunts, Nettie Ruth (William) Hayes of Fairmont, NC, Linda Lou McDuffie of Apex, NC, Joyce Bullock and Carolyn Hayes of Fairmont, NC; four sister-in-laws, Mae Ruth Jones of Fairmont, NC, Maeola Abram and Carolyn (William) Abram, Peggy (Vernon) Stenbeck and Brenda Jones and a host of nieces, nephews, one special niece, Victoria McArthur, cousins and friends
