Mrs. Veronica Mitchell Brown was born March 16,1960 to the late Neburt and Corean Mitchell. She departed her earthly life on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina after a short illness.
Veronica accepted Christ as her personal savior at an early age. Throughout her lifetime she was an active member of Aaron Swamp Baptist Church in Rowland, North Carolina. She served in many capacities to name a few; She was the President of Missionary and became a Trustee. Veronica attended school in Rowland. She also attended college at Fayetteville State University.
She worked as an Certified Nursing Assistant for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with family, she loved to be in her yard beautifying it, cooking, and traveling.
She was proceeded in death by her husband Willie B. Brown Jr. Her brother Roy Mitchell and sister Aline Mitchell, her two nephews Larry Taylor Jr., Quintin Mitchell, and one niece. Marcia Maxey.
Mrs. Veronica Mitchell Brown leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Dominique Brown Whitted (James), Monique Brown Wilson (Ronald), Jameel Terrelle Brown (Distani), Tyronius McArthur. Five brothers, Larry Taylor, Troy Mitchell, Alan Mitchell (Jackie), Alfonso Mitchell (Ann), Bobby Mitchell. Four sisters, Patricia Jemison, Sally Mitchell, Carol Mitchell, and Tammy Mitchell. Nine grandchildren Iyanna Whitted, Mahogany Wison, Zyasia Whitted, Tukum McAuthur, Jamesa Whitted, Ja'Mes Whitted, Khairi Whitted, Masiah Williams, and Jasiah Brown. A host of nieces, nephews, and relatives. Special Friend Venetta Hauser Gilmore of over almost 40 years.
