Mrs. Patricia Stephens Whitfield Tribute

Patricia Stephens-Whitfield, daughter of the late Howard Stephens and Ernestine Green, was born
on July 3,1949. She departed this life on March 3, 2024 at her home.

Patricia was proceeded in death by her father, Howard Stephens; Her mother, Ernestine Green; Her

Patricia attended Rosenwald Elementary as a child. Later in her life, she relocated to Brooklyn,
New York. She worked as a dedicated healthcare worker until she retired. Patrica was blessed with
three sons. She was a wonderful and dedicated mother. She met the love her life William Whitfield,
Where they spent the last 30 years loving and enjoying each other.

Patrica’s family was very important to her. She loved family gatherings and spending as much time
with her family as she could. If you knew her, she loved to cook and watch football. She was a
faithful member and dedicated to her church. One thing I loved about her, she loved spending time
and dating her husband papa Will. Patricia was a proud woman. She took pride in everything she
did. When she stepped out, it didn’t matter if she was going to the grocery store. She was dressed
sharp. While living in New York, Patricia became a member at Pleasant Grove Tabernacle. Under
the leadership of Bishop Albert L Jamison in 1990. She was a faithful member of the Usher’s
ministry for 28 years. She was supervisor for juniors and young people Usher’s for 20 years. She
also served as Women’s Day chairman for two years. She sang faithfully with the women’s choir for
years. She served on the kitchen ministry of Pleasant Grove Church. After relocating to North
Carolina, she rejoined First Baptist Church in Fairmont, NC, under the leadership of Pastor, Rex
Anderson. Where she attended until God called her home.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories her husband, William Whitfield, three sons: Douglas
