Mary Lizzie Little, 97, was born on September 8, 1927, in Wallace, North Carolina to the late James Wright and Beatrice Moment Wright, and departed this life on December 20, 2024.
She was married to the late William Little (Red), and they were married for 50 years. She was employed at the North Carolina Corporation Extension Robeson County Center for 30 years.

Because she was so compassionate, she never had a “no” on her lips when it came to assisting anyone who needed help.
Preceding her in death was her husband, William Little, two sons, David and Edward Little, and granddaughter, Kenya Purnell.
She leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters, Beverly (James) Gillespie of Lumberton, NC, Betty (Dexter) Covington of Rockingham; and Terrie Little of Lumberton, NC; two sons: William and Kenneth Little, both of Lumberton, NC; Eight grandchildren, James Little, LaShonda Little, Jenell Gillespie, Jessica Thompson, Tammie Little, all of Lumberton, NC; Chris Little of Greensville, SC; and Tiffanie Underwood and Corey Little of Hope Mills, NC; several great-grandchildren and two great, great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
