Mrs. Maggie Ruth (Moore) Washington was born on January 6, 1949 to the late Fitzhugh and Elizabeth Moore transitioned from earth to eternity on June 3, 2024.
Mrs. Maggie joined Aaron Swamp Baptist Church at an early age and later joined Missionary Gospel Tabernacle. She loved gardening, her flowers, and cooking for others. Some of her favorite foods to cook was beans and peas, and collards. She also loved watching tv and some of her favorite shows was CSI, Wheel of Fortune, and the Price Is Right. Her favorite places to go was anywhere to shop and the beach.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Gracie Moore, Frances Moore, John Moore, Dorothy Moore Addison, Eugene Moore and Sterling Moore.
She is survived by her husband, Ricky Washington, her daughter, Elizabeth Moore of Hope Mills, NC; two grandchildren, Jasmine Moore of Charlotte, NC and Jalen Moore of Hope Mills, NC, sisters, Brenda Moore Washington, Glenda Moore Dillahunt, and Linda Moore Hayne (Walter) all of Fairmont, NC; one brother, Wallace (Truman) Moore of Fairmont, NC; sisters-in-law, Anne Washington of Lumber Bridge, NC, Linda Washington-Burden of Fayetteville, NC; and Debra Washington Purdie of Parkton, NC; four brothers-in-law, Michael Washington (Jamie), and Nathan Washington both of Lumberton, NC, Charles Washington (Diana) of Lumber Bridge, NC and Wilbert Washington (Vicky) of Parkton, NC, special niece and nephew, Gloria and Henry Woodberry, close friends, Sandra Rease and Anna Lois Oxendine, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
