Mrs. Linda (Lennon) Durant

     Linda Lennon Durant, daughter of the late William Lennon
and Mildred Thompson Lennon, was born December 2, 1944
in Lumberton, NC. She departed this life on January 11,
2025. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Cleaster
Durant.
     Linda received her high school diploma from Rosenwald
High School, and continued her education with an
Associate Degree in Keypunch Operations. She later
earned a Certified Nursing Assistant credential, and
became the manager of Lincoln Services Group Home in
Maxton, NC.
     At an early age, Linda joined McDonald Baptist Church, in
McDonald, NC. She also attended Oak Grove Baptist
Church. She joined 2 Walk By Faith Ministries, where she
was the Mother of the church.
     Linda leaves to cherish her son, Linwood (Gale) Durant of
Lumberton, NC; her daughter, Sheila (Lynn) D. Porchèr of
Rocky Mount, NC; her daughter, Kisha Durant Wilson of
Houston, TX; two sisters, Brenda McQueen (Dexter) of
Fairmont, NC; & Glenda Davis of Chicago, IL; two
brothers, Howard Lennon of Fairmont, NC & Willis Lennon
of Atlanta, GA; one sister-in-Law, Marzella D. Worley
(Harold) of Fayetteville, NC; 6 grandchildren, Jamel Hunt,
TaQuanda Mitchell, Lynn Porchèr Jr., Tierra Durant,
Quentin Porchèr, & Richard Wilson II; 6 great
grandchildren (Jamiah, Matthew, Charles, Jamel Jr.,
Peyton, & Landon); an honorary granddaughter & personal
caregiver, Ada Harvey of Rocky Mount, NC; and a host of
nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends.
