Mrs. Lennie Bryant Tribute

It's with sadness and sorrow we announce the official notice of transition of Mrs. Lennie McKellar Bryant 84 of Rowland, NC. Mrs. Lennie transitioned from time to eternal peace on September 7, 2025.

Born May 5, 1941, in Fairmont, North Carolina, Lennie McKellar Bryant entered life alongside her twin sister, Louise. Together, they shared an unbreakable bond as      sisters and lifelong friends. Lennie was the last surviving child of Reverend Duncan and Lucille Foxworth McKellar, closing a chapter in the McKellar Family Dynasty — a family whose legacy of strength and perseverance ensured that the family farm remained in proud ownership for generations.

Lennie’s journey carried her from the McKellar farm to New York, where she built a distinguished career with the United States Postal Service. Known for her dedication, she         received numerous awards, including recognition for more than a decade of perfect attendance. In her personal life, she became a second mother to her niece and nephew, Yacara and Beni Malaak Tabb, showering them with love, guidance, and unwavering support. In 1969, Lennie married Roy Bryant (deceased).  They lived in Brooklyn, New York for more than 30 years before returning Lennie’s beloved    community of Fairmont, North Carolina.

Lennie lived with a passion for travel, photography, and preserving family history. She captured countless family moments through her camera lens, leaving behind a     priceless archive of memories. Her friendships, humor, and hospitality enriched the lives of all who knew her. In her later years at Wesley Pines Retirement Community, she    remained surrounded by love, faith, and hope. Though she leaves behind a grieving family and friends, her life continues to inspire love for family, pride in heritage, and dedication to preserving the McKellar story.
