Mrs. Gail Yvonnie Swindell affectionally known as “Gail” blessed this world with her grace and presence on September 11, 1952 at UNC Health Southeastern in Lumberton, NC. She departed this life at Harbor view on May 26, 2025.
Gail was employed by various jobs in her lifetime she served as a CNA at Southeastern Regional for many years and was very passionate about serving others. She was a comfort to many and a joy to all, most of her time was spent taking care of her family and friends.
During her time in this life, Gail attended church at House of Prayer. Gail instilled love, joy, and laughter throughout her life to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Franklin. Her parents, Ernest Campbell and Margaret Campbell, two sisters, Elinda D. Campbell and Bertha Campbell, one brother, Leon Campbell.
She leaves to cherish her memories to her sons, Franklin Campbell (Bisrat) of Germany, and Tony Swindell of Lumberton, NC; daughters, Sandra Swindell Taylor (William) of Fairmont, NC; Mary E. Walker and Sabrina Swindell both of Lumberton, NC; eleven grandchildren, Lacretia Y. Townsend (Clyde), Shanique T. McIntyre, Shalone S. Campbell, and Jalanie H. Swindell all of Lumberton, NC; William H. Taylor III (Brenda) and Quintin S. Taylor both of Fairmont, NC; Bryce A. Swindell and Breighlan A. Swindell both of Raeford, NC; Vinabi Estafonis, Grace Campbell, and Zoe Campbell all of Germany, a sister, Virgina Cromartie (Charles) of Lumberton, NC; and a brother, Allen Campbell (Angie) of Winston Salem, NC; a special goddaughter, Temica C. Howell of Lumberton, NC; four god grands, Samaria Z. Butler of Tabor City, Amarion N. Howell of Virginia, Khamri Z. Howell and Hezekiah H. Howell both of Lumberton, NC; a host of great-grands, uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and three special sister-in-laws and three life-long friends along with many other friends. She will be sorely missed and cherished by many.
