Mrs. Effie Rose Manning

     Effie Rose Manning was the daughter of the late Mr. George and Nazie Jamison, Sr. She was born on
January 16, 1949 in Robeson County. She took her eternal rest Monday evening February 20, 2023 at
UNC Health Southeastern. She graduated from Rosenwald High School in 1968. She was employed at
Munsingwear Inc. until her health failed. She was also a proud and faithful member of First Baptist
Church, Fairmont, N.C. until her health failed.

    Effie Rose was preceded in death by her father George Jamison Sr., her mother Nazie Jamison; in-laws
Lonnie and Thelma Manning; her two brothers J.C. Jamison and David Jamison; brother-in-laws Percival
Ford, Ronnie Shadd and Willie Manning; sister-in-laws Vivian Jamison, Katie Jamison and Daisy Manning.

     Effie Rose also known as Wife, Momma, Grandma, "Little Lady" or "Lady Bug" loved her family. Some of
her favorite past times were riding and sight-seeing with her husband, scrolling Facebook, baking her
Famous Red Velvet Cakes, talking on the phone to her siblings, and watching her daily T.V. shows. She
was a Breast Cancer Survivor, had many Battle Scars, but was a True Warrior of Faith!!! To know her,
was to LOVE her!!!

     She leaves to cherish her memories: her loving husband Raymond Manning, Sr. of the home; three
daughters Dana (Glenn) Walters of Charlotte, N.C.; Teresa Bethea of Fairmont N.C.; Vanessa (Montrell)
McNair of Fairmont, N.C.; two step-daughters Gwendolyn (Jason) Carney of Nashville, TN and Ann
McNeil of New York; two step-sons Raymond Manning Jr. of Fairmont, N.C. and Carl Manning of
Atlanta, GA; three brothers George Jamison Jr. of Fayetteville, N.C.; Jasper Jamison of Charlotte, N.C.
and Ronnie (Laverne) Jamison of Charlotte, N.C.; three sisters Helen Ford of Baltimore, MD; Connie
Shadd of Matthews, N.C. and Deborah Jamison of Fairmont, N.C.; sister-in-law's Dorothy Jamison of
Fairmont, N.C.; Lois (Ricky) Baker; Minnie (Anthony)Perkins of Baltimore, MD; Berniece (Terry) Gilchrist
of Fairmont, N.C.; Thelma Ruth Manning of Fairmont, N.C.; brother-in-law Joseph (Wanda) Manning of
Raleigh, N.C.; seven grandchildren that she helped raise: Chassity, Tevin (TK), Destiny, Kortney,
Montierra, Naziyah, Camille; several step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren Jamison, Michael
Khi, Brandon Jr.; a host of very special nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, friends; and special friend
Maggie Washington.
