It's with great sadness and sorrow we officially announce the transition of Mrs. Claudia Ann Page 72 of Lumberton. At this time, please pray for the family as we give them privacy to process her transition.

    Claudia Ann Townsend Page, the daughter of the late James and Leola Pittman Townsend was born on October 27, 1953, in Lumberton, NC. She passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, at the Angel House Hospice Care Center in Whiteville, NC. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love leave a legacy that will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

   Claudia was the youngest child of 13 children, and she grew up surrounded by family and friends. She graduated from Orrum High School in 1972. Claudia accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and joined Mount Zion Freewill Baptist Church. After graduating from high school, Claudia married James A. Page and began attending church at Ohovah African Methodist Episcopal Church. As a faithful member of the church, she served as the Choir President, Assistant Sunday School Superintendent and would whatever she could to support the church. She is also known for her beautiful, anointed voice, she enjoyed lifting the name of Jesus through song.

    Claudia was a devoted wife, husband, James A. Page and mother to Jowanna A. Page, Lumberton, NC, Julius Page, Clayton NC, wife Fredrica Page and Crystal Page, Herndon, VA. She was also a proud grandmother to Jaron D. Page, Lumberton, NC. She also has two living siblings, Shirley Jacobs, husband Tommy and Kay Gore, both reside in Lumberton, NC and a host of nieces and nephews.

   Her home was always open, filled with laughter, stories, and the aroma of her famous home-cooked meals. Claudia was one of the best cooks, she could make anything taste good. Claudia’s compassionate spirit extended beyond her family, as she was always ready to lift your spirit with an encouraging word or make you laugh by engaging in playful banter.

    Claudia will be remembered for her boundless love, her infectious smile, and her unapologetic way of expressing herself. She leaves behind a family and friends who adored her, and a community enriched by her presence. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
