Minister Carolyn Faye (Johnson) Green, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of the Lord, entered into her eternal rest on August 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Carolyn was the devoted wife of Reverend David Isaiah Green of Halifax, Virginia and a loving mother to Denang Green, Isaiah Green, Mary Green, David Green, Jonathan Green, Margarite Brown, and Shelly Kaye. She was preceded in death by her daughters Denita Harris, Andrea Thompson, and Bernice Washington, whose memories she carried tenderly in her heart.

She was one of five siblings. Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Clyde Johnson, and is survived by her brother, Curtis Johnson, and her sisters, Jene Shaw and Bonnie Green. She cherished her family deeply and held each sibling close to her heart.

The Green family became members of Mt. Carmel Holiness Church in Fairmont, North Carolina, where they are active participants in worship and service. Carolyn’s faith was the guiding light of her life, and her memorable words to her children and grandchildren were simple yet profound: “Get Saved.”

She was blessed with a large and loving family, including her grandchildren Shanique, Thomas Jr., Jeffery, Keith, Isaiah, Jeremal, David, Nicole, Amanda, Tiffany, Jasmaine, Jeremy, Ascare, Aaron, Andrew, Armon, Alexander, Addie, Carolyn, Brittany, Evelyn, Joseph, Alexandria, and Christopher, and many others. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Carolyn’s legacy is one of unwavering faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, steadfast love for her family, and a life lived in service to God. She touched countless lives with her warmth, her counsel, and her encouragement to walk with the Lord.
