Betty Jean Patterson, daughter of Savannah Bethea-Mitchell and Bud Ellis, was born January 27th, 1951, in Lumberton North Carolina. Betty transitioned to her eternal resting place on Thursday January 16th, 2025 in Lumberton North Carolina.
Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who loved spending time with her family and grand kids. Betty was well loved by her community.
Betty was proceeded in death by her husband Thomas Patterson, her parents Savannah Bethea-Mitchell and Bud Ellis; Sisters Annie Ruth Mitchell-Moore and Helen McKinnon, John Mitchell; Brother.
Left with precious memories of our beloved Betty are Valerie Moore; Sister. her two daughters: Elaine Thompson (Howard), Teresa Patterson, both of Lumberton, NC; her two sons : Thomas Patterson; Christopher Patterson both of Lumberton NC; Grand-children; Jessica Patterson, Todriek Patterson, Janel Patterson, Erykah McQueen, Jasmine McQueen, Shantez Patterson, Savannah Thompson & Zatoya Jones; Great-grands: Kamari Williamson, Aaliyah Johnson, Kyzere McKoy, Paris Monroe, Demontre Maultsby & Nai’Arii Patterson. Bonus son: Robert Coxum; Special Friend: Melvin Purdie; Close Friends: Peggy Walters & Marie Johnson both of Lumberton, NC; followed by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
