Mrs. Belinda Nongretta (Powell) Wade

     Mrs. Belinda Powell Wade, daughter of the late Willie Brooks Powell and Marlene Powell was born on January 11, 1960 in Smithfield, NC. On Thursday January 2, 2025 at Lower Cape Fear Life Center God called her to her heavenly home.

     Belinda attended Public Schools of Robeson County and later obtained her in Home Nursing Aide Degree in Whiteville, NC.

     Belinda dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker. She was an exceptional cook, loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She had no problem extending a long olive branch to her community, where she was affectionately known as “Ma Lynn”.

     Belinda was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Brooks and Marlene Powell, her son, Marlon Wade and grandson, Jalynn Stephens.

     She leaves fond memories to be cherished by her husband, Jasper Floyd Sr., two daughters, Stephanie Stephens (Sam) of Fairmont, NC; and Regina Livingston (Joseph) of Fair Bluff, NC; five stepchildren, Jasper Floyd Jr. and Dontray Floyd (Ericka) of Georgetown, TX; Jenea Floyd and Kortex Harmon of Whiteville, NC; and Akeem Harmon of Fair Bluff, NC; four special daughters whom she loved as her own, Helen McCrea,  Tina and Cindy Hunt, and Anngulletta Thurmond, six grandchildren, Tiyana, Jymere, and Jameya Stephens, Aaliyah Davis, Kaniyah Powell, and Khy’Veaire Livingston, one special granddaughter, Anastasia Evans, five sisters, Wanda Campbell of Fairmont, NC; Sandra Carr (Don) and Pamela Powell both of Fayetteville, NC; Denise Prayer (James) of Atlanta, GA; Patricia Ann Powell 0f Newark, NJ; bonus sisters, Carol       Graham and Barbara Powell, three brothers, Willie Leon Powell (Lisa) and Quincy Powell both of Fairmont, NC; Cedric William (Stephanie) of Concord, NC; a special brother Roderick McCallum of Lumberton, NC; two special nieces, Kametchia Campbell, and Nicole Powell Boyd, two special friends, Ernest McLeod and Harry Wade and a host of nieces and nephews.
