Angela (Angie) Marie Colvin Rogers was born on July 12th, 1980 to Wille Lee and Sharon Colvin in Lumberton, North Carolina. Angela departed this world on October 1st, 2022 at UNC Health Southeastern, in Lumberton.
Angie was a devoted wife and mother and there was nothing she would not do for them. Angie was Leukemia survivor and advocate. Angie was the author of “Keep Fighting” and started her on you tube channel. Angie joined Turner Station at a young age, she organized the first praise dance team ministry and named it Angelic Movement. Angie enjoyed singing on the choir, assisting with planning the Women’s Conferences, and participating on other church committees.
Angie attended Rosenwald Elementary school and graduated from Fairmont High School. Angie enjoyed playing Volleyball, Basketball, and running track. Angie’s passion was the JROTC drill team under the direction of Lt. Colonel Francis Quander. Later, Angie attended Fayetteville State University, and was employed at Belk’s Department Store until her health started to fail.
Angie was proceeded in death by her maternal grandparents Mr. LC Williams (Gladys) and Rupert (Pearline) Colvin. Angela is survived by her devoted husband Ed Rogers of the home, one son; Kaden, two daughters; Anaya and Jada Rogers. Her Mother Sharon Colvin, Her father Wille Lee Colvin, Step grandmother (Mae-Thelma Williams), Two brothers; Charles (Latonya) Colvin, and David “JR” (Alisha) Bullock. Aunts; Lillian (Marion) Simmons, Brenda Colvin, Marjorie Colvin, and Elaine (Willie) Crowder. Uncles; Larry (Elois) Williams and Hubert (Gwen) Colvin. In-laws James and Barbara Rogers. Sister-in-Law; Felicia (Michael) Holton. God-Mother; Joyce Bullock, 3 great uncles and 5 great aunts. Niece; Bre’on Dryer. Nephew; Julius Dillard. Special God- Daughter lovingly called “Sunny”. Angie also leaves behind a host of cousins, family, and friends.
