Mr. Winston Thompson

     Winston “Buddy” Thompson was born to the late Ethel Lee Thompson and Willie Lee Thompson in Columbus County on March 22, 1957. He passed away on May 7, 2023 at his home.

     He went to Fairmont High School. After High School, He joined   Job Core where he received a degree as an electrician. He worked on the farm of Mr. Sandy for many years.    

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Willie Lee Thompson, his son, Willie Lee Thompson, his brothers, Willie Earl Thompson, Jeffrey Thompson and a special friend, Sally Ann Campbell Edwards.

      He leaves to cherish his fond memories his son, Issac McKellar (Saquoya) and Issac’s mother, Pamela Hill, six grandkids, Jaslyn Thompson, Issac McKellar, Iyana McKellar, Ikeya McKellar, Imir McKellar and Arbria McKellar, his God son/nephew, Terry Lee Thompson, his sisters, Carolyn Thompson, Sarah Thompson and Willa Senia Thompson all of Irvington, NJ, Linda Thompson of Columbia, SC and Vivian Thompson of Marietta, NC; his brothers, Terry Thompson of Fairmont, James (Moochie) Thompson of Marietta, NC , Andre (Andy) Thompson (Luci Avila) of California, aunts, Ertha Huff of Lumberton, NC, Lesa Mae Henburg of Lake View, SC, Ruby Jean Henburg of Newark, NJ, one uncle, George (Bubba) Henburg (Cenia Mae) of Fairmont, NC, two special nieces, of the home, Sara Thompson and Pamela (Marie) Thompson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
