Mr. William Luther Pressley

William Luther Pressley, 71 of Fairmont NC was born August 31, 1953, in Columbus County, NC and departed this life on December 2, 2024. William was preceded in death by his parents, the late John Davis and Pauline Baker Pressley. William went to school in Lake View, SC and graduated from Fairmont High School in 1973.  

William worked at Carpostan Industries in Lake View, SC until it’s closure. He then worked at Converse in Lumberton NC until it’s closure in 2001. William worked at Walmart Distribution Center in Hope Mills, NC until his retirement in 2018. William loved sports and his favorite teams were UNC-Chapel Hill and Dallas Cowboys. William loved on people and enjoyed learning about people. William was known to give an encouraging word and to visit friends, family, the sick and the shut in.

William leaves to cherish his memories his aunt, Hazel Baker of Chadbourn NC, his three sisters Johnnie Mae Pressley Johnson, Mary Cole-Greenlee (Charles), both of Lumberton, NC and Virginia Hill Williams (James) of Louisiana, 2 brothers, Lacey “Joe” Cole Jr., Aaron Pressley both of Fairmont, NC and a special brother in law, Larry Johnson of Marietta, NC. three nieces, LaToya Patrice Johnson of the home, DeNotra Malendia Johnson Winston (Corey) of Lumberton NC, Latasha Williams-Jones (Julius), nephew Cedrick Williams, a special great nephew of the home, Duncan Isaiah McLeod, and a host of other nieces, nephews and godchildren.
