Mr. William Hayes

     William Hayes was born on August 9,1937. He entered eternal life on October 1, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family. William attended school in Marietta NC. At an early age he joined Turner Station AME Church and later in life joined Mill Branch Baptist Church. William was a man of many talents but was gainfully employed by Converse Inc.  William was born to the late Dessie Dixion Hayes and Jack Hayes. He was preceded in death by two sons Willie Marshal Hayes and Joseph  Lee Hayes, five brothers, and 4 sisters.

     William leaves to cherish his loving memories to his wife Nettie R. Hayes two daughters Annette Hayes(John) and Kimberly Lee Hayes (Butch) both of Fairmont NC, Two sons William N. Hayes(Sarahlyn) of Bladenboro, NC and Charles E. Hayes of Fairmont NC. William raised 6 grandchildren as his own Antonio Hayes, Annette Hayes(Chris), Yvette Hayes and Jayla McRae all of Fairmont NC. Katiesha Hayes(Gregory) and Laquita Hayes both of Bladenboro NC. Two sisters Linda (Lou) McDuffie of Apex  NC and Joyce Bullock of Marieta NC one brother Howard Mclean of Fairmont NC.  Four sisters in law Iola Moore, and Orelean Hill of Fairmont NC ,Helen Ford of New Jersey ,and Loisteen Moore of Lumberton, NC. Two brothers-in-laws Frank Moore of Fairmont and James Moore of New Jersey.  Nine grandchildren,  eighteen great grandchildren and three great great  grandchildren. Two special cousins Nanette Hayes and Maggie Gaddy of Marietta NC.  Two special nephews Linwood Hayes and David Bullock of Fairmont NC. Two best friends, Clyde Edwards and John Pinkney. A host of  nieces and nephews’ family and friends. A special thanks to Medi Home Hospice Team Angela Locklear, Annette(Pea) Hayes, Rev. Kenneth Tart, Jareyce  Alexander.
