Mr. Tyrell Oxendine

     Tyrell Oxendine 29, departed this life on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan. Tyrell was born on December 29, 1992 at Southeastern Medical Center in Lumberton, North Carolina. Tyrell was educated in the Public Schools of Robeson County. He played football during most of his school years. His favorite sport was fishing.

     He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Mr. Harley Oxendine, Jr.; great grandmother Mrs. Margret Jones; his paternal grandmother Mrs. Lisha Mae Worley-Lewis and his brothers, James Lewis, Jr. and Qutain Lewis.

     He is survived by, his mother and stepfather: Alice (Jimmy) Singletary of Fairmont, NC; his father and stepmother: James (Brenda) Lewis of Orrum, NC; his two sons: Zy’mir Oxendine and Caleb Leggette both of Lumberton, NC; his sister: Shakira Singletary of Lumberton, NC; his brother: Joshua McNair of Flint, MI; his grandmother: Mrs. Catherine Oxendine and Betty Sherlock both of Lumberton, NC; four aunts: Michelle Colson, Lisa (Derrick) Arnette, Carolyn (Gordon) Cummings and Cynthia Searcy; six uncles: Kevin Oxendine, Lee (Coretta) Lewis, Jimmy (Leticia) Lewis, John Lewis, Dennis (Erica) Lewis and Cedric (Stephanie) Williams, three great aunts: Alice (Joiners) Cadestin of Lumberton, NC, Beatrice Lewis of Mullins, SC and Carnell Lewis of Westbury, NY; two great uncles: Robert (Gail) Blue of Fairmont, NC and Holland Toomer of Westbury, NY; one great, great aunt: Dorothy Taylor of Fairmont, NC; nieces, nephews, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
