Mr. Thomas Brown was born on August 8, 1957 in Robeson County. He departed this earthly life on November 28, 2023 at home surrounded by family.
Thomas attended JH Haywood School as a child and was a 1975 graduate of Lumberton High School. He entered into the workforce after graduating and was employed by KFC. He later joined Alamac Knits where he worked over thirty years. Thomas was also employed by Contempora Fabrics, Lowes and Food Lion.
Thomas was well known in the community as a joyful person and was affectionately known to his family and friends as “Cricket”. He was a devoted husband and father. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
Thomas joined Pleasant Meadow Missionary Baptist Church at an early age and was a member of the Male Choir.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Eula M. Sinclair, two brothers, William D. Brown and Charles R. Brown.
He leaves to cherish his fond memories to his wife, Arnetta Brown of the home, two sons, Lonnie Brown (Quanna) of Greensboro, NC; and RaShawm Brown (Leah) of Apex, NC; one stepdaughter, Page McCallum of Winston Salem, NC; seven grandchildren, one sister, Joann Wright of Lumberton, NC; one aunt, Laura Cade of Lumberton, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
