Mr. Rodney Stephon Henderson

     Rodney Stephon Henderson was born on October 31, 1995, in Lumberton, NC.  He was a very outgoing and fun-loving young man who enjoyed playing multiple sports but exceled in football.  He graduated from Lumberton Senior High School in 2016.  He then entered the United States Army where he served 4 years in Airborne Services before receiving an honorable medical discharge. After his military career, Rodney spent time pursing his passion for writing and recording music.

     Rodney was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Lolita Oxendine.  He leaves to cherish his memories, his spouse, Sarah Danielle Henderson, his pride and joy, his son, Noah Henderson of Lumberton, NC, his mother Samantha Fields Henderson (Travis) of Fayetteville, NC, his father, Corey Fields (Nefertiti) of Fayetteville, NC, his grandfather Ricky McKinnon of Lumberton, NC an adopted grandmother Phylis McCallum of Lumberton, NC, 3 sisters, Maya Henderson of Fayetteville, NC, Lolita Henderson of Lumberton, NC, and Montressa Washington of Charlotte, NC; 5 brothers, Jalen McCallum of Lumberton, NC, Hakkeem Henderson of the home, Jordan Henderson of Lumberton, NC, William Washington of Lumberton, NC and Deon Turner of Lumberton, NC.

    Rodney also leaves to cherish; his aunts Lena Jennings of Lumberton, NC, Terriell Wardlaw of Raleigh, NC, Sherry Oxendine of Lumberton, NC, Rashonda  Rose of Charlotte, NC, Nakinda McKinnon of Orlando, FL, Malicia Bailey of Hope Mills, NC, Marie Spaulding of Lumberton, NC, his uncles, Tommy Oxendine of Lumberton, NC, David Oxendine of Lumberton, NC, Kevin Oxendine of Lumberton, NC, and Jason Oxendine of Lumberton, NC, 3 loving nieces and 1 amazing nephew.
