Mr. Ricky Chavis

      Mr. Ricky Chavis, 61 of Lumberton, NC was born on December 24, 1959 to the late Barbara Jean Chavis in Robeson County and he departed his life on Friday September 3, 2021 at UNC Health-Southeastern Hospice House of Lumberton.

     He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Betty Hunt who raised him like her own son and one sister, Patty Sue Hunt.

     He leaves to cherish his memories two sisters, Judy Carol Hunt of Fairmont and Amy Oxendine of Lumberton, two  brothers, Curlie Chavis of Fairmont and William Anthony Cagle of Rocky Mount, NC, longtime companion Gladys Sue Buie of Saint Pauls, one special niece, Becky Oxendine, one great niece, Vivian Corlenda Dial, one great nephew, Andrew Phillip Dial all of Rowland, NC and a host of friends and family.
