Mr. Reginald Lareece Gerald

    In the heart of Lumberton, North Carolina, on January 26, 1969, a radiant beam,
Reginald (Reggie) Lareece Gerald was born to Mary Lois Gerald and the late James
Blue Jr. On December 11, 2024, he peacefully entered eternal rest. Reggie leaves a
void as he joins his grandparents, Paul Avery Gerald, Gladys Watson Gerald, Paul
Graham and Annie P. Graham.
    Reggie graduated from Lumberton Senior High School in 1987. He was a part of the
ROTC and participated in sports, namely football and wrestling. He worked various jobs
ranging from Food Service to Textile Industry, then eventually traveled to further his life
experiences to Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Asheville before returning back to his
hometown of Lumberton.
     At an early age, Reggie attended Pleasant View Baptist Church in St. Pauls, North
Carolina where he was a member of the usher board and the Inspirational Gospel Choir.
Later on in his journey, he faithfully attended Life Church of Elizabethtown, North
Carolina, where he was re-baptized in Jesus Name and God filled him with the Holy
Ghost. He enjoyed spending precious moments with his family and having special
conversations with his church family. Many that knew Reggie well could honestly say he
was “real”, and his smile was infectious.
    Reggie leaves behind to cherish his memories his mother, Mary Lois Gerald of
Lumberton, North Carolina, his brother, Anthony Bernard Gerald (Cherie) of Lumberton,
North Carolina, his sister, Thea Davis-McHam (Vernon) of High Point, North Carolina,
his three sons: Elauishuquan Montez Cummings of Fayetteville, North Carolina,
Anthony Q-Shawn Gerald of Durham, North Carolina, and Isaiah Gerald of Tar Heel,
North Carolina, two nephews, one niece, a host of uncles, aunts, and other relatives
and friends.
