Ramon Lamar Kirk, age 53, of Lumberton, North Carolina, made his transition to be with
the Lord on Friday morning, April 25, 2025.
Ramon was a loving husband, father, son,
brother, and so much more to so many. He had a loving heart, he cared for everyone,
and his kindness was immeasurable. He loved doing things for others. Ramon was just
a special, special man, and all were blessed to have had him in their lives.
Ramon was born on April 19, 1972, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Lawrence and Charlotte Kirk.
He was educated in Cleveland, served in the military, and had the opportunity to travel
extensively over the years.
Ramon met his precious bride when he moved to Lumberton, and they were married in
2022. She was the love of his life, and he was devoted to her and to her son Jailen.
Ramon was known for his love of cooking. He was an excellent chef. He could cook or
grill almost any food, and would always receive rave reviews and compliments. He took
tremendous pride in the dishes and food that he served, and it was his joy. His other
joy was his pets, his dogs and his cats. He loved them, and they loved him.
Ramon was predeceased by his father, Lawrence Myron Kirk; his brother, Lawrence
Kirk Jr.; his loving grandparents, Paul and Frances Kirk; his grandfather, Roger R.
Wright; and his aunt, Karen Wright. In addition to his devoted and loving wife Michelle
and son Jailen, Ramon is survived by his mother Charlotte Moats; his grandmother,
Helen Wright; his siblings, Arease Moats and Gabrielle Moats; a special sister Paula
Freeman-Ivey; his father-in-law Johnny Freeman; his brothers-in-law Demetrius Fielder
and Johnny Freeman II, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, family members
and friends.
