Mr. Phillips D. Walters

Phillips D. Walters entered into rest on August 4th 2024, he was 56 years old. Phillip entered into this world on Feb. 29, 1968, to the late James & Claudia Walters and Willie Harrison. He was born in Newark, New Jersey vivid stories hailing from Brick City. 

Phillip was proceeded in death by his parents James & Claudia Walters and Willie Harrison. His brother Sterling
Clifton and his dear friend Bodie.

Phillip leaves to cherish his loving memory to his son, Sterling Demar Flowers of Lumberton NC, Daughter Samirah Denise (Darin) Wofford of Fayetteville NC, Granddaughter Damira Louann Flowers of Lumberton NC. Phillips two sisters, Clara Lomax of Atlanta, GA; and Dorothy Walters of Laurinburg, NC. A host of other relatives and friends from all over New Jersey, Georgia and etc.

Most people knew him as Phil the Tape Man. Phil was vocal, resilient, brave, Strong, BLACK & DIDN’T BACK DOWN. He will be remembered for his wisdom,. “Phil” will be deeply missed.

In loving memory, Phil was a devoted and loving father who instilled strong family values in his children. His life was marked by his unwavering dedication to family unity. Phil loved his mother and father so much.  Phil was deeply respected and cherished by many.

Born in 1968, in Newark, New Jersey. Phil talked about how much he loved growing up with his family of cousins, aunts and uncles, definitely Bobby and Dawn Harrison.
Phil moved to fairmont, North Carolina, in 1986. Graduated from Lumberton High school.  Phil worked at The City in St. Paul’s with Andy for years. Phil was the go to person for cds, DVDs, cellphones. 

Phil leaves special memories with Pamela, Jeannie, Corey, Lisa, Liz, Kenny, Cook, Andy, Shirley, Abraham, Ann, Niecey, and many more. Peace, Love and many Blessings to you all.
