With heavy hearts, we gather to celebrate the beautiful life of Patrick Dominic Arnold, affectionately known as "my Patrick." From a young age, Patrick brought joy to all who knew him. His beloved Grandpa Robert and Grandma Pocahontas lovingly stroked his head and called him “Pat Pat,” while his Aunt Glenda cherished him as “Pat,” and his Uncle John visited him faithfully for 33 years, treating him like their own son.
Born on December 11, 1985, in Lumberton, NC, Patrick transitioned peacefully into eternal rest on Thursday evening, April 16, 2026, with his dear mother, Connie, by his side. In their final moments together, she laid beside him, her head on his chest, whispering, “You sleep and rest now, my son…”
A Time to Love
Patrick was a passionate fan of Michael Jackson, finding pure joy in the music of the King of Pop. He delighted in those private moments of bliss, immersing himself in the melodies that filled the air, allowing them to transport him to another world.
He had a special love for homemade milkshakes, the fizz of Mountain Dew with his daily meals, and the sweetness of banana pudding. Patrick cherished those rare days when he could sleep in late, wrapped in the comfort of his dreams.
For 33 years, Patrick called Howell’s Care Center in New Bern, NC, his home, where he graduated and received love and care from compassionate caregivers, friends, and devoted nurses and doctors. In his final week, he was embraced by the kindest staff at Crystal Coast Hospice House in Newport, NC, providing his family with the support they needed during those tender days.
A Time to Remember
Patrick’s adventurous spirit led him to travel many states with his devoted mother, Connie, stepfather Michael, sister Nicoli, stepbrother Michael Jr. (Al), and their beloved pets, especially during Michael’s time serving in the Army.
Patrick leaves behind a loving family: his mother Connie T. Green (Michael) in Susanville, California; his cherished sister Nicoli Arnold in Reno, Nevada; and stepbrother Michael Jr. (Al) in Texas, along with three precious nieces and three nephews who adore him dearly. He is also survived by his beloved Aunt Glenda T. Jackson (John) in Fairmont, NC; Aunt Linda T. Godwin (Walter) in Lumberton, NC; Aunt Jean T. Sturdivant in Lumberton, NC; and a host of relatives and friends who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. As we bid farewell to our dear Patrick, we celebrate his spirit and the love he shared with us all. May his light continue to shine brightly in our lives.
