Mr. Nathaniel Leake Jr.

     Mr. Nathaniel Leake Jr. 65, of Fairmont passed away  Nov. 4, 2019 at Southeastern Health in Lumberton.Mr. Nathaniel Leake Jr., grandson of the late Novella and Ernest Thompson Sr. was born to the late Ruby Jones and Nathaniel Leake Sr. on March 16, 1954..

     Nathaniel accepted Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church in Fairmont, NC. He attended The Public Schools of Robeson County and New York. He graduated from Robeson Community College where he earned his diploma. Nathaniel enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and later joined the United States Army Reserve. Nathaniel was an employee of at Converse for many years and later employed at West Point Pepperell where he retired. He wasn't ready to stop there so he became a security guard in Fayetteville, NC until he became disabled. Nathaniel loved to get together with his friends, eating out, fishing and sitting at the meet up place which was called Pimps Corner. His crew was better known as the Cane Gang, John Wesley Roberts, Walter Walters (Head), Lee Jackson, Earl Jackson, John Bullock, and a few others. He leaves to cherish his fond memories, three children, Adrain Leake and Natalie Neal of VA and Kenny Alford of Maxton, NC, eight grandchildren, one great grandson; five brothers, Anthony Johnson, Gregory Leake, Rodney Leake and Tyrone Leake all of Richmond, VA; two sisters, Shelia Troy of NC and Cheryl Daniels of Richmond, VA. A host of aunts that he adored, uncles and other relatives and friends.
