Michael Bridgett was born on February 20th 1958 to the late Walter and Christine Billings.
Michael attended school in Rowland, NC. He later moved to Florida where he began his work career. He relocated back to Robeson County where he worked at Alamac Mills until he retired. Michael is a member of Turner Station A.M.E. Church. He loved to fish and cook in his spare time until his health declined. Michael loved his family dearly and his family loved him as well. He loved to make visits to family and friends often, especially if food was involved. Whatever he had it was yours. He always had a positive attitude no matter what he was faced with, specially during his last year of life where his faith was tested the most. He always had a smile on his face and was grateful for all that was done for him. He departed his life on August 5th 2022 in the home of James and Shirley Campbell.
He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Walter and Christine Billings, sisters, Esther L. Billings and Emma Bishop and brother, Earl Billings.
Michael leaves to cherish his loving memory, James and Shirley Campbell, guardians where he spent his final days in their home. Daughter, Lakuanda Williams of Fairmont, NC, brothers, Ray Billings of Marietta, NC, Clinton (Shirley) Billings of Marietta, NC, Moses Billings of Winston Salem, NC, Tony (Jean) Bridget of Lumberton, NC James Pete (Diane) Bridget of Colorado Springs, Terry (Lucy) Bridget of Lumberton, NC, sisters, Savannah (Levy) Gaddy of Fairmont, NC and Evelyn Bridget of Lumberton, NC., two grandchildren, Marquz McDowell and Shikra Hayes of Fairmont, NC, five sister-in-laws, Blanch Billings, Mary Billings, Carrie Mae Campbell, Mary Bernett and Wendy McNeil, God brother and sister, Dr. William (Linda) Link, a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
