Mr. Michael Devon Barr

     Michael Devon Barr, age 46, was born on April 5, 1980, to Preston Barr and Mae Helen Barr. He peacefully departed this life on April 25, 2026.

     Michael was employed with Capital Moving Company in High Point, North Carolina. He was widely known for his wit, loving spirit, and great sense of humor. Michael had a natural way with words and could bring laughter to those around him. He was affectionately known for his favorite sayings, “What up, Doe?” and “Make it make sense.” He also enjoyed playfully teasing his mother, often joking, “You're just a big old pimp,” because she always kept him busy.

     He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rudolph Thompson Esther Thompson, Preston Barr Sr. and Catherine Barr.

     He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, Michael Devon Barr II; his cherished granddaughter, Ava Rhain Barr; his father, Preston Barr; his mother, Mae Helen Barr; and his bruh, Antonio Dwayne Thompson, all of High Point, North Carolina.

    Michael is also survived by a host of loving aunts: Hazel, Darlene, Vanessa, Ella, Rosa, Katie, Carolyn, Rosemary, Judy, and Mary; and uncles: Andrew, Haney, David, Kind, Donnell, Larry, and Stephon; along with many cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.

    Michael will be remembered for his humor, his warmth, and the joy he brought to everyone who knew him.
