Mr. Luther Christian

Mr. Luther Christian, 71, of Fairmont passed away Nov. 2, 2021.

Luther attended Thompson Chapel Church of Pope Crossing, Lumberton
NC in his early years of life and later joined Jonesville Baptist Church of
Fairmont NC under the leadership of the late Dr. Reverend Martine Spencer.
Luther graduated from Fairmont Rosenwald High School in the late 60's.                                                                                                                                                                                       

He worked in textiles for over 40 years where he later retired.

Preceded in death by: his parents, one sister and eight brothers.

Children : Reginald Bernard Christian (Normie) of Latta, SC, Brenda Denise
Christian (Tykee) of Lumber Bridge, NC - Mother (Mary Jane McKinnis
Christian), Asia Lanell McAllister of Texas - Mother (Mary Ann Jones),
Bonus son, Markel, Brain Christian of Jacksonville, NC - Mother (Wanda
Currie), Lucas Antwan Powell - Mother (Brenda Powell).

Brothers: Jerry Christian (Alfredia) of Columbia, SC, Larry Christian
(Lillie) of Wallace, SC, James Strickland (Lula) of Fairmont, NC, Johnny
Strickland (Van) of Fairmont, NC, Charles Christian of Fairmont, NC and
Jamie Christian of Hope Mills, NC.

Sisters: Wanda “Pul” Stephens (Glenn) of Lumberton, Eva Mae Christian of
Fairmont, NC, Carrie Barfield of Yonkers, NY, Catherine McColl of
Brooklyn, NY, and Clementine Evans of Fairmont, NC.

Grandchildren (25) and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,
uncles, aunts, a lifetime buddy, Linwood “Mule” Stephens of Fairmont, NC
and other relatives and friends.
